FiredUp4 Auction – 14 May at Sotheby’s for London Craft Week
FiredUp4 will host its next fundraising auction on 14 May at Sotheby’s, as part of London Craft Week. The auction will take place in person, with the option to submit commission bids or arrange telephone partner bids for those unable to attend.

London Potters is proud to support FiredUp4 on a regular basis, contributing through a number of activities that help sustain and amplify the charity’s mission.
FiredUp4 is a charity that opens the door to creativity for young people. During London Craft Week, FiredUp4 and London Craft Week present two ceramic charity sales at Sotheby’s in support of FiredUp4 Clay Clubs, which offer young people a hands‑on, screen‑free opportunity to explore their creativity, find focus, and discover themselves. FiredUp4 works in partnership with OnSide, a network of state‑of‑the‑art youth centres built in some of the UK’s most economically disadvantaged areas.
New this year is the FiredUp4 Auction, Curated Ceramics, for which Kate has invited donations from some of the most celebrated ceramic artists working today. Alongside the contemporary works, Kate is also offering her own Lucie Rie speckled oval vase, a treasured gift from her friend Deborah Doniach (1912–2004), a pioneering figure in modern immunology. Kate is donating this cherished piece in the belief that both Lucie and Deborah would wholeheartedly support FiredUp4’s mission to put soft clay into young hands that might otherwise never have the chance.
All contemporary works in the sale have been generously donated by ceramic artists who share the conviction that every young person should have access to clay and creativity.
Artists represented in the auction include: Felicity Aylieff, Fernando Casasempere, Hitomi Hosono, Jacob van der Beugel, Kate Malone, Pippin Drysdale, Ryan Barrett, Vanessa Hogge, Vicky Lindo and Bill Brookes, Lucie Rie, Zandra Rhodes.
