As part of LP’s commitment to Education and Training, we are pleased to announce the 2026 Annual Makers Award details.
The award is open to Members of London Potters and applicants must be a member by the date of the application submission. The deadline for applications will be 31st August 2026.
Two categories of award will be open for application this year:
- Emerging maker: within the first five years after graduation or from the start of trading/ selling
- Established maker: more than five years after graduation or selling/trading/working in the ceramics industry
A total of two winners – one for each category above – will be selected by a panel of judges.
The judging panel will be confirmed at a later date. The judges’ decisions are final and no individual feedback will be provided.
Note that previous winners cannot reapply for three years.
The prize for each winner:
- Free Membership of LP for 1 year
- Cash Award of £1000
- Certificate of achievement
- One mentoring session to be provided by a sponsor, industry expert or appropriate ceramics professional
- A feature in a ‘Makers Focus’ article of one issue of the LP Magazine
Requirements from Winners
- Winners must be available to attend the 2026 AGM on the 17th October at The Art Workers Guild to collect the award in person.
- Winners are also asked to attend the 2027 AGM and make a 5 minute presentation on their progress since receiving the award.
