This is a course delivered virtually over two sessions. Session one will be instructional and lecture based. In the time between the two sessions, Yeshen will offer you a challenge to shoot your own work. During session two you will be encouraged to share your photos and discuss/receive constructive feedback from Yeshen.
This workshop is the sought after two day glaze workshop by Linda Bloomfield. There are two elements of this workshop: (i) glaze materials lecture and (ii) practical glaze making and discussion. On day 1, Linda will demonstrate glaze making, after which you will be mixing your chosen glazes and then glazing your test tiles.

Todd will be showing off Mayco’s newest Stoneware glazes and Engobes, highlighting performance characteristics, tips for use, and popular glaze combinations in cone 6 (1240C) and cone 10 (1300C) firing temperatures.
This is the London Potters Annual General Meeting. All members are invited and attendance is for members only. We have endeavored to make this an informative and enjoyable networking event for our members. In addition to the formal proceedings, the event includes a keynote speaker, demonstration and social drinks.
This year the London Potters Annual Members Exhibition will showcase work from 120 of our members. The exhibition will take place at the Morley Gallery, 61 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7HT.

Twelve London Potters members will have an opportunity to pair up with a SSILB member to explore and make a container for an arrangement during September/October and then exhibit on the 01st November 2025.

Bringing together contemporary ceramic artists with collectors, historians, curators, and researchers, the event offers a unique opportunity to foster dialogue, gain fresh perspectives, and strengthen connections across the ceramic community.
After the success of last year’s event, Jack Durling returns to lead a hands-on workshop in creating your own ceramic animal sculpture. Participants will learn hollow forming and modelling techniques—including coiling, slab building, and the use of armatures—alongside drawing exercises and maquette making. Guided step by step, you’ll develop a freestanding or seated animal piece (up to 30 × 30 cm) while gaining practical skills and a deeper understanding of clay sculpture, leaving with a finished work that captures the character of your chosen animal.
In this practical 4 hour workshop photographer Yeshen Venema and Stylist Emma Shipley will demonstrate how to use both natural light to style and photograph your work within a contemporary home setting.
Join acclaimed ceramic artist Jo Taylor for a two-day handbuilding workshop exploring ornament, form and surface decoration. Inspired by her distinctive ceramic practice and techniques featured on The Great Pottery Throw Down, participants will create a coiled vessel or sculpture and learn to make both mould-made and freehand sprigs to embellish their work. Suitable for all abilities, this immersive workshop includes demonstrations, practical making sessions, and an insight into Jo’s creative process through examples of her work and sketchbooks.
