Floral-inspired studio pottery take centre stage in Clay College’s new exhibition, ‘Pots for Flowers’

Pots for Flowers

25 April to 28 June 2026

Clay College is at the heart of the new wave of British Studio Pottery, offering a unique practical pottery course unlike any other. Its Diploma students cover an intensive and comprehensive curriculum offering them the opportunity to become self-sufficient makers on graduation. Clay College is proud to bring leading potters’ work to the Potteries for exhibition at their Gallery based at the Middleport Pottery Re-Form Heritage Site.

Clay College Stoke is delighted to unveil its spring/summer exhibition, ‘Pots for Flowers’, a celebration of floral-inspired ceramics created by six renowned professional potters from across the UK. Opening this April at the Clay College Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent, the exhibition brings together a curated collection of vessels and decorative pieces designed with flowers in mind. Showcasing both wheel-thrown and hand-built work, the exhibition highlights the expressive possibilities of clay—from delicately decorated porcelain to richly textured forms bursting with colour. Each potter presents their own interpretation of the theme, offering visitors a vibrant and diverse exploration of ceramics made to complement and elevate floral display and celebrate decorative floral themes. The exhibition is free to attend and is suitable for collectors, interior and design enthusiasts, ceramic artists, and anyone interested in flowers and how they are displayed. You can view and purchase from the exhibition at the Clay College Gallery at the Middleport Heritage Site in Stoke-on-Trent, or online at www.claycollegestoke.co.uk.
