Path and Inspiration

My inspiration could be anything and anywhere: a combination of colours in nature, an old rusty water pipe with several layers of paint peeling off; historic photographs; ancient pottery; vintage wallpaper; patterns on clothes...

Process and Practice

My decorative and functional pieces are mainly slab-built in earthenware or stoneware clay.I like to give my pots a slightly distressed look by applying layers of different coloured slips, and later decorating them with bespoke photocopied transfers and decals. Some of the surfaces are inlaid with slips and underglazes.I make limited editions and one-off pieces.
