Path and Inspiration
I am drawn to organic forms. I play with classical shapes adorning them with botanical elements and high gloss glazes creating a balance between uniform and unique.I value the learning I receive from makers around me whilst contributing to the creative development of my community.Process and Practice
I explore how ceramic materials respond, resist and yield. I build, scrap and sand vessels from mixed reclaim revealing a naturalistic texture. The surface contour and surface represents life’s rewards and challenges. Like our bodies, shaped by events and the environment, clay has a memory which reveals fragility and strength.
