Path and Inspiration
I began my ceramics journey in 2022 and have since carried out a Foundation in both Art & Design and in Ceramics at West Dean College. Following a membership at Studio Pottery London, I decided to set up my own studio in a garage in St John’s Wood. I am still experimenting with various forms and developing my own colour in both glaze and slip; drawing inspiration from the bright colours of the city as well as the flow and undulations of the natural landscape in the English countryside.Process and Practice
I make functional wares by both wheel-throwing and hand-building from my studio in St Johns Wood. I work with stoneware and decorate my pieces with glazing, coloured slip and experiment with techniques such as wax resist. My oxidisation fired work largely comprises small bowls, jugs and tea bowls as well as larger vases and some sculpture. I teach one on one classes on the wheel and hand building for beginners.
