Path and Inspiration
Carolina is an Argentinean-Chilean ceramist living and making in Margate.Her work is mostly hand-built ceramics, inspired by maths and geometry, Brutalist architecture and interior design, The use of black stoneware clay and white porcelain, often combined with vivid glazes, gives her stunning work a high contrast, dramatic and distinctive style.Process and Practice
My work is slab-built using either black stoneware clay white porcelain. I love contrasts and these clays provides me with surface to work on.I am currently working on a series of moonjars called The HarleQueens.I also teach hand building using the slab method with black clay, enabling students to learn how to make functional ware.
