Simply, I aspire to make beautiful things! Mainly they are functional, occasionlally they are not.
In a fast-paced, noisy world, it can be hard to find moments of stillness — to pause, reflect, and simply be. In my hand-made pieces, that seamlessly becomes a part of your day to day, I hope you will find that moment of connection. I make humble objects that will enhance your everyday.Process and Practice
I employ a variety of techniques, from slip-casting to hand-building. The desired piece — its form and function — determines the process I use. I seek a sense of honesty in my practice, a meeting of hand and material where the maker's touch is present, but the clay still feels natural, timeless, free of fashion or trend.
As an urban potter, I use an electric kiln powered by 100% renewable energy, minimising energy use & emissions.
