Path and Inspiration

Hi, I'm Victor :)I am a Neuroscientist originally from Brazil, but now living in London. I decided to join my scientific background and my love for pottery in one name: Dr Pottery! You will see some of my scientific background reflected on my pieces, but most of my pieces are actually a result of another part of me. I love nature, the imaginary, surrealism, expressions, and emotions. My pieces, and especially my sculptural pieces, are an attempt to bring this love into the real world.

Process and Practice

As with many people, I had my first contact with clay when I was a kid. Since the beginning, I always enjoyed playing with clay. What I didn't know at the time was how much I would need that clay later on in my life.In 2012, I started to have very strong and life-changing panic attacks. After several months of therapy, trying a lot of different approaches, my therapist brought to me a piece of clay....Peace, finally
