Path and Inspiration

I'm inspired by nature and people. I like to let the clay do what it will on the pottery wheel. I allow happy accidents to happen and let them take me to another place entirely. I try not to have concepts before i make anything and I allow spontaneity to happen. Its a conversation with the clay.

Process and Practice

I might have an idea for something but once the clay is on the wheel, it may go elsewhere, and i never know where we will end up. Its fun to work like this. Never knowing what I'm doing or where its all going. I use electric and a gas kilns. I love experimenting , so none of my pieces are repeated again. They are one offs. Some people repeat the same thing over and over and they call that their "voice" its not, its just repeating the same thing over and over.
