Path and Inspiration
My journey into ceramics began through architecture. Designing a winery in Georgia, I hand-modelled a miniature qvevri—a project rooted in family values that first taught me to truly feel clay. Moving to London, clay became my grounding force, inspiring my series Equilibrium. Now a full-time artist, I draw inspiration from architectural forms, cyclical trends, and the future of humanity, creating sculptural pieces that explore where we come from and where we are going.Process and Practice
I am a 100% hand-building ceramic artist working predominantly with traditional coiling techniques. I love pushing the boundaries of clay, testing its structural limits to build complex, tactile forms. Alongside coiling, my practice is deeply defined by glaze chemistry. Exploring glaze formulas opens an infinite realm of experimentation, allowing me to bridge ancient building methods with precise, modern surface finishes.
