Path and Inspiration
Based in North Devon, I have been a full-time potter since 2008. My current work is motivated by textures and colours, inspired by nature in and around the beautiful coastline and rural countryside. The tactile nature of this range of work allows the form to invite the glazes to pool and run into the dips and crevices of the textured exterior.Process and Practice
I offer a makerspace to beginners, hobbyists and developing potters at my studio. I tutor recreational classes in throwing and hand-building skills. I get great pleasure from knowing that several students have gone on to develop their own studios and sell their work. This learning environment allows me to continually learn, develop and try new ideas alongside developing a range of work to exhibit.
