Path and Inspiration
Jesse Finlay is a print maker and ceramic artist based in South West London, creating work with a strong connection to memory, nostalgia and storytelling.
Jesse's work includes decorative ceramic pieces, functional wares and 2D ceramic and paper prints. Surface is an important aspect in her work, this is explored in her ceramics with the layered imagery and dreamy underglaze washes of colour.Process and Practice
Jesse has an Honours Degree in Ceramics from the University of The Creative Arts and has been combining her time between being a full time mum, maker and educator since graduating in 2020.
Out of her home studio she works with a range of ceramic techniques including slip casting, hand building and throwing to create both functional and fine art pieces inspired by her surrounding area and concepts of memory and storytelling.
