Path and Inspiration
I make decorative and occasionally functional stoneware pieces using a combination of hand building and wheel thrown, more often than not with a face and always from my imagination. I’m interested in the natural quality and texture of different clay bodies without a cloak of solid glaze, creating decorative finishes and textures using a range of techniques. My work seeks to cherish and celebrate the absurd and I hope that it can shine a little glimmer of joy and playfulness into the world.Process and Practice
I work with stoneware out of my tiny home studio, using a combination of handbuilt and thrown, depending on the piece, and fire in an electric kiln due to limited space and the constraints of living in suburban London.
