Path and Inspiration
I work in porcelain primarily. I make both decorative and functional pieces. I’m inspired by nature and the sea, and love the changing colours and movement of the ocean and incorporating these in my work.
I like the contrast in colour and texture of raw porcelain and glaze, leaving parts of my work unglazed to highlight this.Process and Practice
I use white porcelain, and also stain this using different colours of the sea. Throwing clay made up of different colours produces unique pieces and is a challenge.
I also use underglazes and carve porcelain.
