Path and Inspiration
Coming from an illustration background my work focuses on clean ceramic forms with uplifting hand decoration. Heavily influenced by traditional folk art, themes centre around animals and the natural world.Process and Practice
I predominantly throw using stoneware and earthenware. At leather hard stage I use coloured underglazes & slips combined with paper cut outs to create my signature decorative style. once dry I work into the design using sgraffito before bisque firing. The final stage can sometimes involve further decoration using ceramic pencil and a variety of glazes.
