Path and Inspiration
Underlying my practice is a desire to create forms that feel both contemporary and ancient, familiar yet otherworldly. I am interested in how this material history can be reimagined in ways that suggest timelessness. Each piece becomes, in its own way, a record of touch, process, and transformation — an artifact of both the controlled act of making and the uncontrolled alchemy of the kiln.Process and Practice
I work mainly with stoneware and porcelain, hand-building for its creative freedom and occasionally throwing for its meditative stillness. Glazing, once daunting, has become a fascination as I study its chemistry while embracing the unpredictability of the kiln. I experiment with slips, oxides, seeking forms that feel both ancient and timeless — artefacts shaped by touch, chance, and transformation.
