Path and Inspiration
After graduating twice in 2025, completing a BA Fine Arts, University of Reading in July and the Leach Year, Leach Pottery, St Ives, Cornwall in December. I joined the memberships of London Potters, West Country Potters Association and West Forest Potters. I work part time at Bluematchbox Pottery Supplies and run LJ Pottery.Process and Practice
At Reading, I experimented with the application of decals, underglaze painting, slip casting teapots, sculpting replica life size industrial tools to the mass production of 1000 unfired vases.
At the Leach Pottery, their traditional approach to learning had a strong emphasis on making - production throwing to standard weights and measurements; from tea bowls to tea pots covering all technical aspects of design and function.
