Path and Inspiration
I have lived many lives: as a photographer, a mother, a housewife and a chef, but pottery is what guides and moves me most. My first contact with ceramics was during high school, when I was an exchange student, but it was only later in life that I truly committed to it and began creating every day.Art in all its forms speaks to me, from Anselm Kiefer’s raw textures to Rothko’s blurred lines. Above all, clay inspires me most. Its organic nature is an inspiration in itself.Process and Practice
I always start without knowing how it will end, and eventually the piece reveals itself to me. I like to begin my pieces with the feet so it can lift it up from the surface bringing a sense of lightness. From there, everything unfolds intuitively. The process is organic and spontaneous and each piece emerges naturally.
