Path and Inspiration
I went to my first handbuilding class 8 years ago at the amazing Clay Studio in Manchester and just never stopped going. I now make pieces at home in my ‘studio’ (a dark, slightly damp room in the cellar).Process and Practice
Most of my pieces start as pinch pots and are coiled and shaped. I love hand burnishing pieces with the back of a spoon or a shiny pebble then smoke firing. Currently fascinated by whales.
