Path and Inspiration
For me, clay is more than just a medium—it’s a gateway to escape and create. As I work with slabs of clay, I weave intricate patterns using glazes, each one inspired by the beauty and intricacy of nature. Through a meticulous process of layering and re-firing the clay three to four times, I capture the essence of these natural images, adding depth and complexity until it feels just right.Process and Practice
As a Community Artist I bring the members of the community together; to solve problems, build relationships, and get involved in ways that rebuild social divide. Arts create opportunities for the community to create their own dialogue and to share their cultural experiences, whether it’s painting the Tropical Rain Forest on a 103 metres mural on the Isle of Dogs to creating hand-made relief ceramic tiles inserted in the pavement in Ladbroke Grove; theme “Creatures in the Park”.
