Path and Inspiration
Art has played a big part in my life for many years with ceramics being a more recent addition. I find it exhilarating and totally absorbing and the more I learn the more I want to learn.
I love building and throwing, altering, glazing and raku finishing; any method is exciting and the unpredictiability is what I love.Process and Practice
I am drawn to studio ceramics for its aesthetic expression. I use surface treatments, depth of colour and texture to enhance and abstract the three-dimensional shape of my pieces.
Thrown and altered stoneware, functional and decorative pieces make up the main body of my work. Raku and sculpture are also areas of interest.
