Path and Inspiration
I’ve been making ceramic sculpture for almost 30 years, exhibiting widely and teaching throughout that time. My work is inspired by the textures, rhythms and patterns found in nature—seed pods, sea life and microscopic forms. I’m drawn to the idea of hidden potential: what’s held inside, and the moment where strength meets fragility.Process and Practice
I’m a hand-builder and a slow maker. I mix and combine clays to build layered surfaces, then refine form through patient, intuitive making. I often single-fire to create gorgeous decorated interiors and earthy exteriors. In the studio I’m always pushing boundaries—testing ideas, learning, and challenging myself with every piece.
