Path and Inspiration
I discovered ceramics at a course in Bornholm, Denmark, where I spent 7 months straight after secondary school. I then went through a few different artistic disciplines before finally returning to ceramics - I now incorporate these into my work. I find inspiration in natural forms, bold use of colour, the creativity of my children and everyday life around me.Process and Practice
After taking an 8 week course in wheelthrowing, I have discovered I find hand building much more fun and a better creative outlet for me. I like to experiment with various clays, glazes and techniques. I mostly use underglazes to create abstract shapes or detailed illustrations. I also like being inspired by my children\'s art which I transfer onto my pieces.
