Path and Inspiration
Originally from Germany, I moved to London in February 2020 after graduating and working as a Communication Designer. Growing up with carpentry, I’ve always placed high value on working with my hands, so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with clay right after my first course in London. My ceramics practice began in December 2022. I am part of a communal studio and I set up my own studio at home a little while ago which allows me to focus solely on my ceramics practice.Process and Practice
The majority of clays I choose to work with are stoneware and porcelain. With both I have a big appreciation for the original material and typically decide to leave larger parts of the clay exposed. My porcelain range is defined by abstract colourful forms that are hand-painted individually for each item. This range is fun, bright and playful and it stands very much in contrast to my stoneware pots, which I enjoy to finish in a more natural look and feel.
