Path and Inspiration
A common theme throughout my work is the position and importance of women in society.I studied Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martin's in the early 2000, and have been increasing my practice in recent years.Process and Practice
My current practice is concerned with making sculptural, porcelain vessels with added delicate ribbons. These pieces are a celebration of femininity, and are intentionally ‘soft’ looking, and this is an intended to contrast with the strength of the porcelain. Some of the pieces are faceted, and this is a nod to the tendency for women to simultaneously fulfil many roles.
