Path and Inspiration
I am inspired by people, and the world of feelings and emotions. I like to explore the theme of love, my works often tell a story about a romantic relationship. I also frequently explore the interplay between the world of dreams and the real world, and to illustrate this I combine 2D and 3D forms. My favourite artist is Marc Chagall, and I think this is also evident in my artworks.Process and Practice
My two greatest passions are sculpture and painting. That is why, in my work, I focus mainly on combining these media. I treat the ceramic surface as a canvas onto which I can create an image. Colour is of immense importance to me, which is why I often spend most of my time glazing and mixing different glaze recipes. It is my regular ritual to fire individual pieces repeatedly, until I am fully satisfied with the result.
