Path and Inspiration
My work is deeply inspired by nature, especially the quiet yet powerful processes shaped by flowing water, how it carries, deposits, and gradually shapes landscapes over time through calm persistence. I aim to capture these qualities in my ceramics, creating pieces that reflect both precision and spontaneity. Each form is carefully crafted, but I intentionally leave space for the unexpected, to let the process speak and surprise.Process and Practice
On the wheel, I carve while the form is still spinning, shifting the tool up and down so the momentum of the clay leads the line. This dialogue with the material lets the pattern emerge organically, leaving space for serendipity, and echoing the natural forces that inspire me. Although each vessel is one of a kind, they sit in harmony as a collective, while slight variations reveal the singular moment of their making.
